Journalists are dedicated to finding out the truth. They play a vital role in getting out accurate and timely information on behalf of the public. To do that, you need a set of tools that includes knowing how to use the latest technology to verify information and tell compelling stories, whether in print, with video, on TV or in social media. Studying journalism will give you the skills needed to be a professional journalist, but it will also build your critical, creative and analytical thinking, which will serve you in whatever you choose to do in the future.
