Mr. Cox is originally from Germany, but has lived in Huntsville, Miami, New York, Paris, Prague, and Sweden. He has worked for more than 20 years as a reporter, photojournalist, and multimedia journalist for The Associated Press, The New York Times, Bloomberg, CBS News, EurasiaNet.org, Polaris Images, and several other news media organizations. He has traveled to and worked in more than 60 countries in the past 25 years. He has worked as a journalism trainer and news media consultant and researcher throughout Europe and Eurasia, completed a nine-month Knight International Press Fellowship in Prague in 2003, and received an Arthur F. Burns Fellowship in 1999 to spend two months on a journalism exchange program in Germany. He finished his MA degree with honors in photojournalism and documentary photography at University of Arts London/London College of Communication in 2009. He has been teaching at HKBU since January 2012.
